Happy Halloween

THis was the best Halloween I think I've ever had! This was really the first time Luke has been Trick-or-Treating and he was a pro!! Last year we had just moved here and had no idea where to go and weren't in a neighborhood with kids and before that he was too scared or too young.

He ran up to every door and really played it up!!!

Funny think is he really doesn't like candy!! He just likes suckers but he LOVED getting to push all the doorbells!!

Some new friends from t-ball came over and we all had a blast!

All Saints Parade

I know these are hard to see but Luke is right by the iron fence in the black "knight" costume. This was the "All Saints Parade" at pre-school.. The kids marched from their building through the offices of the church to trick-or-treat and then down to the sanctuary to sing the parnts a couple of songs. I didn't know they were singing and didn't have my video camera but got some video on my digital camera. SOOOOO cute and no one but me probably thinks it was as cute... as I had tears streaming down my face during the entire march and performance. Don't know if any of you rember 2 Halloweens ago when I missed his costume parade at day care and how distrought I was over it. Well- I soaked in every minute of it today!!!! I just can't believe how blessed we are to have this precious child in our lives. He is truely an angel sent from above to fill our hearts with so much love and happiness. (As all your children are as well). I just had several years that I never thought I would be able to have these experiences and am so gratefull every minute of every day to have them... even when we are having a 3 year old moment : )

Introducing "Super Luke"

So last night I was in the kitchen cleaning up from dinner and Luke and Juven were playing in our room when all of the sudden they got really quiet and then this is what I get...

Luke with softball socks pulled up to his thighs, a shell necklace, a cape made from a blanket, a "Reeces" hat, and my sunglasses, yet this child will not try on his Halloween cosutme. Go figure. Maybe we should wear this for Halloween?

Luke had to go to the doctor yesterday to get a vaccine booster and his flu shot and did it like a champ. No tears! So I took him to play at the playground at the mall and we had a blast!

Here is a pic of Luke playing at the mall playground a few months ago with Evan and Dylan.

I don't have a lot to report other than I am sooo beat down with the Cowboys and the lack of playing they are doing.

Luke playing with Big REd.

I do have to report how proud I am of how much Luke had learned in pre-school. He has a new job now of saying the prayer before we eat. He learned it at school and it is soooo special. He also wanted to play "school" tonight and like at school assinged a special job for Juven and I to do. I was the "flag holder" so I had to pretend to hold the flag and he said, "Okay, now put your hand on your heart" and he started saying the Pledge of Allegiance". Juven and I were shocked and proud. He also appointed Juven the "snack helper" so Juven had to pretend to pass out snacks. He is really loving school and we have seen such a positive change in him. Such a big boy.

Here are a few more pics of Luke playing t-ball. Things are going much better now! He is really enjoying it- finally. The age range for the league is 3 to 6, so he is one of the smallest ones on the team. I think the gap is too big for the kids but he's hanging in there!

We are finally seeing some cooler days again and what a relief!

Beauty & Spidey

Arizona is known for its amazing sunsets and this went down in the books as one of the best we've seen. This was a pic taken from our backyard on Saturday evening. To me it looks like there is a large fire in the distance. So beautiful.

Our second t-ball game went much, much better. Luke made it through the game. I did not take my camera this time so I did not get any pics, but he hit good, ran good, and played second base great. And the best part-- no tears!

After the game his little buddy Dylan had his 4th birthday party. Spiderman theme. The boys had a blast.

Luke hitting the "Hershey Kiss" pinata. Gee- wonder where they got that??Pure excitement when the pinata broke and all the goodies came out.

Luke and Dylan.

Scary Spidey!

Juven thought it would be cute to put my glasses on Stinky. She does look pretty cute though.
