Snow day at Mother Nature's Farm in Gilbert, Az.

Luke and Santa on the Polar Express

I accidentally put the pics in backward. Below is us waiting at the train station for the Polar Express to get there.

These pics are from yesterday, (Wednesday) on our way back to Phoenix. Hard to believe this is only 2.5 hours from us!!

Above is a pic of my room at work!! This is actually the first time I have ever really "wanted" to go to work!!!! I love it!!!!

Santa came up to school on Saturday. Above is Luke making a Christmas ornament and below is Luke going over his list with Santa. This has just been the best Christmas ever! He is now at the age to really get what is going on and is soooo excited about everything!

Saturday night we went to the Parade of Lights Parade in downtown Phoenix. We got there at 5:30 and did not see the start of the parade until about 8:15! Thank goodness Luke was asleep for the first couple of hours! It was sooooooo amazing to see how excited he was!!!!!! We all had a blast!

On Sunday Juven hung the lights while Luke rode his bike and I helped. We were even more in the Christmas spirit because we had overcast and cool weather.

We will be going on the Polar Express next Tuesday night and then leaving for Texas on Friday for 2 weeks. I am also 99% done with my shopping !!! Much much better and organized than last year!

Here is Luke and his Grandpa shopping in Sedona. Below is me, Grandma, and Luke taking a break and eating pecan turtles. YUMMY!!

This is Luke showing his Grandpa the toys he wants for Christmas that he picked out in the Wal-Mart catalouge. We had a great Thanksgiving! This was the first year I cooked! Grandma helped me, of course, but now I know I could do it if need be. Everything turned out great and we had a ton of food left over. I sure did miss mom, Jennifer , the kids & all the family : (

Luke had his last t-ball game last Saturday and we ended the season with a t-ball party at McDonalds. The kids had a blast while the parents were sooo thankful the season was over. We were all not too fond of our "coach"

On Sunday of last week we ventured off to drive around Canyon lake and the hills around the lake. We came to a point in the road where it turned to dirt and said Rosevelt Dam was in 29 miles. So we thought- what the heck, it's only 29 miles. Well- 29 miles is a LONG time on a winding dirt road, but it was worth it. There were several "one lane" bridges that we had to cross and we came upon this cave that you could hike to but Luke was asleep so we settled for pictures instead.

Here is the other side of the dam. I couldn't get a good picture of it. We luckily were able to get home on a paved road which was very welcomed.

So for the few people who actually read our blog most of you know that I made the decision to go back to work. I was truly blessed to have found a wonderful job at a Primrose working in the infant room and Luke is able to attend pre-school there. I absolutely LOVE it!!! It is a brand new school that just opened on the 10th and we don't have any babies yet so I am working in the office and helping out where needed but patiently waiting for babies as I have baby fever and hope to cure it with this. Luke loves his school and loves having mommy there too!

Juven's parents drove in yesterday and today we took them to an old ghost town that use to mine gold. They have horse back riding, train ride, and underground mining tours. We did the train ride and had a blast. I, of course, did not have my camera... Tomorrow we are planning on taking them to see Sedona as it is our favorite place in Arizona. I will defiantly have my camera for that!! Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Halloween

THis was the best Halloween I think I've ever had! This was really the first time Luke has been Trick-or-Treating and he was a pro!! Last year we had just moved here and had no idea where to go and weren't in a neighborhood with kids and before that he was too scared or too young.

He ran up to every door and really played it up!!!

Funny think is he really doesn't like candy!! He just likes suckers but he LOVED getting to push all the doorbells!!

Some new friends from t-ball came over and we all had a blast!

All Saints Parade

I know these are hard to see but Luke is right by the iron fence in the black "knight" costume. This was the "All Saints Parade" at pre-school.. The kids marched from their building through the offices of the church to trick-or-treat and then down to the sanctuary to sing the parnts a couple of songs. I didn't know they were singing and didn't have my video camera but got some video on my digital camera. SOOOOO cute and no one but me probably thinks it was as cute... as I had tears streaming down my face during the entire march and performance. Don't know if any of you rember 2 Halloweens ago when I missed his costume parade at day care and how distrought I was over it. Well- I soaked in every minute of it today!!!! I just can't believe how blessed we are to have this precious child in our lives. He is truely an angel sent from above to fill our hearts with so much love and happiness. (As all your children are as well). I just had several years that I never thought I would be able to have these experiences and am so gratefull every minute of every day to have them... even when we are having a 3 year old moment : )
