Not a lot has been going on out here. Just working away and enjoying the last few months of beautiful weather. I did get a promotion at work to assistant director. I absolutely love my job and believe I have found my ninch. It is so great being able to be so close to Luke all day. I can just walk down the hall anytime to check in on him. It is so funny to hear his buddies say, "Luke, your mom is here!" They had a parade today for Dr. Seuss's birthday and cupcakes on the playground. Juven has been working hard. He hasn't had to travel much lately which has been nice. We are hoping to get a sledding trip in soon before the season is over but just seem to want to stay close to home on the weekends lately. Juven's parents and sister will be here for a week in April for Easter so we are looking forward to that. I will get my camera going again to post pics.

Happy Valentine's!

This is Luke's first Valentine's party! He had a blast and loved giving and of course receiving Valentine's from all his buddies.

All the kids loved their treats and had a great time!!

Saturday we went to Cave Creek to a art festival and to see their cool old down town.

We had lunch at a Mexican resturaunt that had an outside pond full of ducks and turtles.

After lunch we headed off for some high country to play in the snow.

This was only about 90 miles from our house!!

I know I haven't updated in a while. I've been trying to get back into a routine and obviously not doing a very good job of it. We have really been enjoying January- for once. 75 degrees and don't miss the cold one bit! If we want winter we can drive 2 hours to Flagstaff to go sledding and then come back home! These first pics are a trip to the zoo a couple of weeks ago. Luke looking at a wild turkey.

On the playground.

Playing on a real tractor.

Luke and Daddy.
These next pics are from Luke's actual birthday. His favorite color is organge and he wanted orange cupcakes. We couldn't find any so we got white ones and knocked off the white frosting and put orange frosting back on them!

Who is that big boy??

I don't know why but I haven't been in the "writing"mood lately to tell any good stories. Maybe I need to read my dear friend Monica's blog- she alway inspires me with good stories.

Luke and Santa on the Polar Express

I accidentally put the pics in backward. Below is us waiting at the train station for the Polar Express to get there.

These pics are from yesterday, (Wednesday) on our way back to Phoenix. Hard to believe this is only 2.5 hours from us!!

Above is a pic of my room at work!! This is actually the first time I have ever really "wanted" to go to work!!!! I love it!!!!

Santa came up to school on Saturday. Above is Luke making a Christmas ornament and below is Luke going over his list with Santa. This has just been the best Christmas ever! He is now at the age to really get what is going on and is soooo excited about everything!

Saturday night we went to the Parade of Lights Parade in downtown Phoenix. We got there at 5:30 and did not see the start of the parade until about 8:15! Thank goodness Luke was asleep for the first couple of hours! It was sooooooo amazing to see how excited he was!!!!!! We all had a blast!

On Sunday Juven hung the lights while Luke rode his bike and I helped. We were even more in the Christmas spirit because we had overcast and cool weather.

We will be going on the Polar Express next Tuesday night and then leaving for Texas on Friday for 2 weeks. I am also 99% done with my shopping !!! Much much better and organized than last year!

Here is Luke and his Grandpa shopping in Sedona. Below is me, Grandma, and Luke taking a break and eating pecan turtles. YUMMY!!

This is Luke showing his Grandpa the toys he wants for Christmas that he picked out in the Wal-Mart catalouge. We had a great Thanksgiving! This was the first year I cooked! Grandma helped me, of course, but now I know I could do it if need be. Everything turned out great and we had a ton of food left over. I sure did miss mom, Jennifer , the kids & all the family : (
