I forgot to add these to the last post. : )

Olivia turned 6 months old on the 15th. Again- how did that happen? It is going soooo fast!

She is rolling over good and we are working on sitting up. She hasnt quite mastered it yet but we are practicing. We got her a special chair to help. She is also doing great at tummy time and pushing up.

She has the cutest smile!! Still sleeping good and we are now working on introducing vegetables. She has mastered cereal and are now adding squash and sweet potatoes. Peas are next.

We were all so excited to take Olivia to her first zoo trip.

It was hot and crowded but we had a great time!
Here I am ready to go! Too hot!!

Olivia is 5 months old today!!! How does time go so much faster these days?? She is such a happy baby! The other night I was taking her to bed. I had her in one arm and her bottle in the other hand and closing the blinds at the same time. She tried to grab her bottle and shove it in her mouth! She was hungry! That was the first time she had tried to do that! Funny how in just a few weeks how fast they change. She had lost her appetite due to a cold but it has taken a couple of weeks to come back and boy has it come back!

Bath time! She loves to splash in her bath and really enjoys it which is nice because Luke has never liked his bath!
Look at that cute little foot!
Recently Olivia had her first bowl of cereal. She really liked it the first couple of times and then seems to hate it as she would cry when I would give it to her. So, we bought a different flavor and she gobbled up the entire bowl.
Some tummy time! We are still working at getting her strong and caught up to her age and she it doing great

She absolutely adores her big brother!
Here Olivia is hanging out on Daddy's lap.

Last weekend we had Luke's 6th birthday party. His birthday was the first of January but everyone is still busy from the holidays, then recovering from the holidays, then it is Supe Bowl weekend. So we had it the weekend after Super Bowl. It was really sooo much fun. Here is a picture of Olivia's first party! She was a trooper! When she got sleepy I just put her in her stroller and she fell right to sleep!

The birthday boy had a blast!

The ultimate was the WII Luke has been asking for the past year. We surprised him with it and he was soooooo happy!!!! We have been having a lot of fun playing ourselves!

Still beaming from all the excitement!

Here are all his buddies from Pre-school and Pre-K! Sooo good to see these little ones and their mommy's! I really miss all the relationships I built with friends working at Primrose.

I just wanted to make a few notes of things Olivia is doing so I will not forget... Today she found her toes. So stinking cute! She grabbed on and wouldn't let go! She also has forgotten all about the paci and LOVES her thumb! Either one and she is happy! She even tries to put her thumb in her mouth when she is taking a bottle! I have to contantly block her! She is starting to giggle a little and is sooo excited when she sees myself, Juven, or Luke. She had a rough couple of weeks getting over a cold and changing her formula. I would put her down and she would sleep for an hour then wake up and cry for about 3 or 4 hours. But, a couple of days ago she completely turned the corner and is great at sleeping again! She is getting such a sweet and loveable personality!

Olivia went for her 4 month check up this week! She weighs 12 pounds! She has grown leaps and bounds since being born 4 weeks early. The doctor was very happy with her growth. She did have some concerns about her large motor development. Olivia is not pushing up on her arms yet when on her tummy so we are working several times a day with her to get her strong. The doctor wants her to be able to be stable and push up well at five months and be able to roll over strongly at 6 months or she will have to to physical therapy to get her caught up. So we are trying to avoid that and get her moving!!

She is talking more and grabbing toys. She has also gotten rid of the paci but has found her thumb. I know if 5 years I will hate the thumb but I LOVE it now!!! SOOOOOO stinking cute PLUS she is sleeping through the night!! WOO HOO! The thumb gets her until 6 or 7 a.m.

Luke is doing great. He got his second report card a couple of weeks ago and is outstanding! He is excelling in most areas and proficient in the others. He is reading like crazy!!! I have to hide my phone because he reads my text messages!!!

I am so blessed and soo thankful to have such a wonderful family. Juven is the BEST husband and father anyone could ask for. He helps me soooo much when he is not traveling and is such a great Daddy to the children. He is always sure to take Luke to school and pick him up when he is here. He takes Luke out to play street hockey, kick the soccer ball, or play baseball. I just love my family!!

Wow! so much has happened in our lives since my last post back in August!! Needless to say our lives were turned upside down and then upside down again and then back up. I will make it short and sweet.

On September 15th our daughter that we are adopting was born. She is truely a miracle and a gift from above. I have experienced miracles before especially when we got Luke but am in total awe of Him once again.

We had a wonderful holiday season and I am sad to see it over. We traveled every weekend since Thanksgiving! On the first weekend in December we went to Ohio for Juven's company Christmas party and I got to see my BEST friend Stephanie and her beautiful family! It was such a nice visit as I had not seen her in about 3 years.

The next weekend we went on the Polar Express. It was extra special as it will probably be our last trip on the Arizona Polar Express and it was Olivia's first train ride.

The next weekend we left Arizona for Texas to celebrate with our families. We stopped in Abilene first so Juven's parents could see Olivia for the first time. Of course they fell in love with her. While we were there though Luke got very sick. He is always very healthy but got a severe case of croup. We were at the emergency room three times in 24 hours. After the last time they finally admitted him. He only spent one night but it was very scarey for us and so happy he is doing better now. Luke is loving being a big brother and loves his baby sister very much.

Today was a big accomplishment for Olivia. She held her head up for the first time while having tummy time and she grabbed a toy in her bouncy seat for the first time!! She surprised us so much today!

With the new year we hope to settle our lives back in order and have fun with Olivia and Luke and enjoy spending time together!
