The Explorers

Well, this weekend we explored off to a place just outside of Payson Az. It is called Tonto Natural Bridge National Park. And just as the name says it is a natural bride. Soooo beautiful. It is in the pines and a underground river carved out this bridge and made caves we got to climb up in. Even Luke! The rock in the caves was like ice. Very slick especially when wet. We hiked down a long trail with railrode tie steps and the views were amazing. We were suppose to go to a Halloween carnival when we got home but it was too late and we were exhausted. Luke keeps asking for the Halloween party. He is content to wait until Wednesday though. All he really cares about is Halloween cookies.

We will be in Flagstaff next week while Juven trains a new hire and then my mom comes for a visit!!!! I am in need of family!!! My uncle comes the next week and then Juven's partents are coming for Thanksgiving. A few weeks later we then head home for Christmas. I am very excited about all the visits coming up and then getting to head back to Texas! Hope you all are enjoying the nice cool weather as it is still in the upper 90's during the day here. I am dieing for some comfty sweats. Don't know if you can see in this cave pic, but there are people standing on the rocks in the back.

More pics

I didn't get to finish yesterday with my new pictures. Hopefully these will do some justice to what it really looked like.

It is still 98 degrees here today and windy. I'm already getting tired of the dirt blowing around, but after what is going on in San Diego I won't complain. We were just there about a month ago. So sad all the destruction. Lets keep all those people in our prayers. Also- we are needing prayers for our house to sell! Love and miss you all!

Finding Fall

We went exploring this weekend and found some amazing places! We found a little town called Jerome just sitting on the side of a mountain. It is an old mining town that you have to climb stairs to get to each different street. The pictures don't really show how neat it is but we sure were not expecting to find it. We didn't stop because Luke was napping and it was not on our agenda but we will be making a special trip back. We them headed on to Sedona. This is one of the most beautiful places I have seen. It is nestled in a valley surrounded by red rock mountains. It has a neat little town and lots of hiking trails. We took Luke on his first hike and he loved it! We then had to head north to Flagstaff because the road back to get to the highway through Sedona was jam packed. However, we found autumn! Beautiful colors all around. Winding roads and leaves blowing across as the cars drove by. It still truely amazes me that we are so close to such amazing places. We have only been here a few weeks but I am really enjoying being here.

Pumkin Fun

We sure had fun at the pumpkin patch last weeked! Luke rode his first roller coster! We had just gotten off the train and I told him it was another cho-cho with hills. He wasn't too crazy about it when he got off, but he keeps talking about it now and says he wants to ride it again.
We are finally feeling a little more settled in now. I love the weather! Now that it is not dead summer it is great! Clear skies and mid 80's during the day and 60's at night. I am missing our own yard. We are in a townhome with no private yard. I loved sitting in our back yard in Texas in my PJ's. Now when I take Stinky out I feel like I have to be dressed and not all funky just out of bed.
We plan on exploring in the mountains this weekend so hopefully I will have some good pics!

We had to plan our entire day finding a place to watch it and found ourselves at Boston's Pizza Kitchen with bad service bad food and a big fat loss!!

A little homesick

Well, I found my camera, now I just need to get some pics taken. We are almost unpacked! All I need to do is our closet and finish hanging up pictures! It is all coming together. We got curtains hung last night and I was feeling a little more complete. Next I'm going to try to get up a few Halloween decorations. I only have 4 tubs full!!! Probably won't do all of them this year!!

Juven is loving his job! This is great new after the last year he had. I have been pretty homesick these last couple of days. I guess I've been slowing down and had more time to think about it. We were walking around Wal-Mart last night and it hit me that we were not in Keller anymore. But- I'm sure I will settle in and will be fine.

I do want to say a big thank you to our neighbors Mike and Sarah Robinson!!! They have been a tremendous help through all this. They have helped us out with getting things done at the houese while traveling back and forth and continue to keep an eye on our house for us. I don't know what we would of done without them. Luke sure does miss their girls Taylor and Lauren. I also would like to ask for everyone to pray for Taylor. She was diagnosed last year with diabetes and is only eight years old. It is managable but still hard on her and her family. Lets see how the power of prayer can work for this wonderful family. We truely will miss them. Yes Mike, even you!

I plan on having some pictures next time!
