Little Cutie

Here are a couple of pics of little Luke being silly. It's amazing how big he has gotten but he is still so little. He is sooo excited about Christmas coming. Every day he talks about presents under the tree and walks around singing the Polar Express song. Hopefully we will get a picture with Santa this year, but I really don't think he will cooperate.

We have booked tickets to ride the Polar Express train from Williams AZ to the Grand Canyon. It is set up just like the movie. The kids wear their pj's and they serve hot chocolate and then Santa comes to give all the kids a gift. I, of course, waited too long to get the tickets and we couldn't get on until after Christmas, but that's ok. I'm sure it will still be a blast.

Only eleven more days to go home to Texas!!! YEE HAA!!!

2 Times

Wow! I'm doing good. Twice in one week!! Just wanted to post a pic of our tree to get the Christmas spirit on our page. Hope you all are doing well. I also have finally made the decision to do all of my Christmas shopping once we get to Texas. Then all I have to worry about it getting it home instead of getting it there and home. Wish me luck! Also- if you read this LET ME KNOW & LEAVE A COMMENT!! I'm new at this and want to make sure that my sister, Tracy and Monica are not the only ones reading. They are my faithful followers. :)

A little late

I know it has taken me forever to update! Sooo sorry. I have had the hardest time getting caught up on house work and laundry and trying to decorate for Christmas, not to mention the little almost 3 year old to keep up with!! Well, Juven took him to the grocery store so I had a minute.

Never seen snow on Thanksgiving that I can remember, but at Juven's mom's house it snowed all day. I was great. Luke got to play out in it with his cousins and I got to stay inside and warm! The picture of the little baby is of Juven's mom with her second great grandchild born just 2 weeks earlier. I held her for a long time and of course got major baby fever. That is until Luke got up that night and cried for 30 minutes. (Think he had a bad dream). Then I remembered how I love to sleep!

I finally got our tree done! YEAH!!! I seemed to take a lot longer this year. In years past Luke has left it alone. Well, not this year. Before I new it he had two Christmas balls and banging them together like a tambourine. It only took about three bangs before one shattered. Then he tried to help pick up the mess as I screamed "Your going to cut yourself!!!" Well, we managed to end up injury free.

Now I am having to mentally pack for our next trip before I can actually start packing. Still worried about flying back with Christmas and birthday presents. I'm sure it will all be fine as I will probably ship most of it back. Just being cheap I guess.

I am really starting to settle in finally. The trip back to Texas was good for me. I was excited to come back to Arizona. I just needed to see that I could go home whenever I needed and it is really not that far away. Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving and are in the holiday spirit!

I'm not too strange am I?

Okay. My friend Tracy tagged me to list eight things strange about me or that you may not know. I guess this is a blogging game, so here we go. ( Alot on Tracy's list was very similar to me!) So, I'll try to come up with some others.

1. I am afraid of the dark.
2. Needles don't bother me when getting shots or giving blood.
3. I LOVE sweets!
4. I rarely answer the door if the doorbell rings. I'm a chicken.
5. I am a huge football fan. Go Cowboys!!!
6. My family teases me about taking makeup and a hairbrush to Six Flags when I was a teenager.
7. I want to end up living on Possum Kingdom lake wake boarding with Luke.
8. I am known to be a winer.

There I am! Now I am suppose to tag others to do the same on their blog, but the only two people I know that blog have already done it!

Also, we have decided to drive home from Thanksgiving. Yes, we are crazy. Juven's parents were going to drive here, but we felt it was way too far for Juven's mom to travel. She has a hard time driving from their house to Fort Worth and we knew we could recover faster. Dont' know if we will be able to make it into the metroplex but I'm pushing for it. We will also be home for Christmas for about 10 days. We are flying for that trip- even thought that is the trip I wanted to drive for. How am I suppose to get Luke's Christmas and birthday presents home??!! Any suggestions other that shipping everything back?

Clouds!

Oh my stars it is overcast and kinda rainy today!!!!! I have never been so happy to see clouds before!! Ever since we got her it has been clear skies and sunshine all day. Not that I don't love sunshine, but I like some cloud cover every now and then. Juven is working his tail end off and havent' seen him in a few days, but hopefully it will pay off. He still loves his new job! I am so thankful for that. We think we have finally sold our house. Big loss but out from underneath it.

I am really looking forward to the holidays and decorating. I wanted to go ahead and start but Juven won't let me. I may do it anyway! I'm even trying to use my crafty side (of which there is little existence). I went to get stuff to make my own Christmas wreath. It was fun, but it took a whole ten minutes. I'm trying!! I need some ideas from my sister! I think Luke and I will try to make a ginder bread house in the next couple of weeks. Never done it before but we will try. Well- I gonna get some more pics of my mom's visit. Miss you all!!

Mom makes it better

Mom just left yesterday after a wonderful visit! It was so nice to have her here and helped tremendously with my homesickness. We picked her up Thursday night and Luke was soo excited! He was so happy to see his Nanny. We took her to Jerome and Sedona on Saturday. I knew she would love it.
I'll have to finish up tomorrow. My battery is out on my laptop!

Lazy days

Hello all! Sorry but no new pictures to share. We have been slugs lately. We stayed in for Halloween. Juven brought home a ton of treats for Luke and we really didn't know where to go. He didn't know the difference so we had a Halloween party of our own. Over the weekend we pretty much did nothing! Still homesick but fighting through it.

How 'bout them Cowboys!!!
